Allmost Hunted

  Dave Hodgkinson

1. Can you please tell us about yourself/group and what is it that you do?
I am a founder member of All Most Hunted. We are a ghost hunting club who organise events for our members in the midlands.

2. How and when did you become interested in the Paranormal?
I became interested around 4 years ago whilst watching Most Haunted. I then attended a vigil at Leicester Guildhall and have been hooked ever since.

3. Can you please give us a few examples of the best investigations you have been on and why? Every time I have been to Derby Gaol as it has an atmosphere that even as a sceptic leaves me feeling uneasy.

4. What is the best Paranormal experience you have had?
In March 2008 we went to Donington le Heath Manor House and during a séance there, a door sprung open on its own. The door had been shut and was not easily opened.

5. What is the best Paranormal evidence you have captured? (EVP, Photograph etc.) Mainly orbs on a digital camera.

6. Have you ever had a physical reaction to a specific place?
No

7. Have you ever had a visitation, or experience, from a loved one that has passed away?
No

8. What are Orbs and why do we associate them with Haunted places or
Ghosts?
We believe they could be the first signs of spiritual energy. We associate them with ghosts as they are often captured during vigils yet they are seldom seen on everyday photos.

9. Besides Ghosts what other Paranormal Phenomena do you believe in?

10. Do you believe that Ghosts can hurt us in anyway?
I don’t think they are powerful enough.

11. What part of Investigation equipment do you use and like most?
The psychic circle is useful and provides us with some interesting information.

12. Is it true that Ghosts become more active at night and if so why?
I don’t think so. There seem to be plenty of ghostly accounts during the daytime. However most vigils are conducted at night.

13. What do you think about using Ouija Boards on Investigations (if you do use one what as been the best thing you have received through the Ouija Board) I think they are helpful but should be treated with caution as messages are often confusing or misleading. During vigils at Donington le Heath and Belgrave Hall we received information which we later found to be consistent with the building’s history.

14. What do your friends and family think about your chosen profession or interest in the Paranormal?
My family are not brave enough to attend vigils with us!

15. If you had one paragraph to give to a cynic or hardened sceptic
regarding your views or beliefs on paranormal phenomena what would it say?
I am also very sceptical. However I cannot rule out paranormal activity as I cannot prove it doesn’t exist.

16. If you could meet a ghost famous or not, who would it be and why?
If possible I would like a message from my granddad telling me something that no one else would know.

17. If you could investigate any location in the world where would it be and why?
The pyramids in Egypt would surely be a good place to discover possible spiritual activity.

18. Where do you see yourself/group in the next two years and what
investigations have you got planned for the future?
We hope to continue to build the clubs membership over the coming years so that we can further our investigations and maybe plan vigils outside of the midlands. We have trips to Quorn Railway Station, Grace Dieu Priory and Derby Gaol booked for later this year.
